A journey to a fulfilled life in Christ Jesus

Many young people today struggle with questions like: Why am I here? What is my purpose? In a world filled with distractions, pressures, and uncertainty, it is easy to feel lost. However, living with purpose is not just a dream—it is a divine calling and a practical necessity.

From a biblical perspective, God created each of us with a unique purpose. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us:

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope."

From a practical standpoint, living with purpose is about fulfilling God’s plan for your life. Seek God's purpose, discover your strengths, take action, stay focused, and use your resources to make a meaningful impact in your family, society, community and to your world.

Understanding Purpose

What is Purpose?

  • Purpose means original intent—the reason for which something exists.

  • The only one who truly knows the purpose of a thing is its creator. We are a product of God, and our purpose precedes our existence.

  • Genesis 1 tells us that God created everything, but when it came to man, He poured Himself into us. We are made in His image and likeness.

Why Were You Created?

  1. To Have Dominion (Genesis 1:26-30) – God designed us to rule and steward the earth.

  2. To Praise God (1 Peter 2:9) – We are called to worship and glorify Him.

  3. To Fulfill God’s Purpose (Proverbs 16:9) – Though we may make plans, God’s purpose prevails.

  4. To Serve God’s Kingdom – Christianity is about rulership, not just religion. We are called to expand God's kingdom on earth.

  5. For Good Works (Ephesians 2:10) – We are saved by grace, but we are called to do good works that reflect God’s love.

What Are Good Works?

"Good works" refer to righteous actions that reflect God's character, love, and commands. These works do not earn salvation but are a natural result of faith in Christ.

  1. A Response to Salvation – Good works are evidence of a transformed life (Ephesians 2:8-10).

  2. Acts of Love and Service – Helping others, showing kindness, and meeting needs (Matthew 5:16, James 1:27).

  3. Obedience to God's Commands – Living according to His Word (Titus 2:7).

  4. Faith in Action – True faith is demonstrated by good works (James 2:17).

  5. Serving Others as Unto the Lord – All our works should be done for God’s glory (Colossians 3:23).

2. Purpose is Found in Serving Others

  • Jesus' life was centered on serving others (Matthew 20:28).
