Is there anything too difficult for God to do?

If you are reading this piece as a group or as individual, please take your time to go through the first part where I explained briefly the nature and character of our loving Father who loves to help.

With that understanding, it is important that we also learn from the scriptures a few examples on how God helps us in different areas of our lives.

Health & Wellbeing

God desires that we prosper in our health. He wants us to enjoy good health so that we can be physically and mentally fit to carry out our duties/assignment including progressing /advancing the Kingdom of God on earth i.e. preaching the gospel, raising disciples etc.

I don't think this can be accomplished when we are on the sick bed. Therefore, God is interested in our wellbeing and health because sickness does not glorify Him. Whether it originates from the devil or from environmental degradation/climate change. We must exercise our authority in Christ Jesus and not fold our arms in pity allowing the devil run us over.

God is not healing you for you, He will heal you for His name sake.

The moment He said, let us make man in our image, He took full responsibility of both of your success and shortcomings. Think about it for a second, who takes full responsibility of restoring your phone to a fully functional state if it was delivered to you and you discovered that it is not fit for purpose - the manufacturer. why? because their brand/image is on the device and they have a reputation to protect. That's the same way God our Father, our creator who fearfully and beautifully designed and created us in his image takes full ownership and responsibility of our health, hence why we need to pray and ask for help as His hears are not heavy to hear us neither His arms are not too short to save us.

[Isaiah 59:1, 3 John 1, Gen 1:26, 1 Corinth 6:19, Exodus 23:25-26, Psalm 103:2-3, Isaiah 53:4-5, Prov. 4:20-23, James 5:14-15]

War/Battles of life

I'm so glad that we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathise with our weaknesses. We have the Captain of the Lord's armies on our side. If God be for us, who can be against us.

Look through the scriptures, you will see we serve a God who can be trusted. Are you currently facing a giant like the one David encountered in the valley of Elah? Are you timid and fearful like Gideon to wage war against the Midianites? Are you like Daniel who has been unlawfully intimidated and oppressed by a higher authority? I believe you know how these stories ended and many more examples stipulated in the Bible.

All you need to do is be still/rest, hold your position in Christ, know that He is God and see the salvation of the Lord. The battles is of the Lord not yours. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is too faithful to fail.

He will do what only Him can do and you will do what you can do. An example of what you need to do is to put on the whole armour of God as a soldier of Christ that you are.

[Ephe. 6:11-18, 1Sam17, Dan3 & 6, Exodus 15:3-6, 14:14, Heb. 4:15, Judges 7:22, 2 Chronicles 20:17, 32:7, Deut. 20:4, 9:3, 1:30, Isaiah 40:31, Isaiah 54:17, 42:13, 45:2, 49:25, Psalm 44:3, 24:1-End, Psalm 23:4, Romans 8:31, Jeremiah 1:19, John 16:33,]

Teaching and Direction by the Holy Spirit

We cannot effectively understand the help of God without referencing the Person of the Holy Spirit. In the same way, you cannot do the work of ministry effectively without the help of the Holy Spirit [Luke 4:18-19. ]One of the ways our Fathers shows us His love is by giving us the gift of the Holy Spirit [Acts 2:38] to guide us and teach us all things in order to live a fruitful and successful life in Christ Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is your friend and your helper, just as Jesus calls you friend. [John 15:15]. He is co-equal with God the Father, and God the Son but each manifests in different ways.

Jesus calls you friend, why? For everything that He has learned from my Father He made known to you.

The Holy Spirit in my view is the most important person on earth as he is in heaven. He is here to help us keep constant communion between us and God our Father.

Isn't it thoughtful of Jesus not to leave us as orphans, He gave us the amazing gift - His own Spirit to live and be with us and upon us. [John 14:18, John 16:13-15, Mark 16:19]

God doesn't waste resources and He will never give His time to what is irrelevant and purposeless. If God says the Holy Spirit is your helper, you had better seek Him today.

John 14:16-18, 25:26: And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. “I have told you these things while I am still with you. But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor— Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.

8 Major things Jesus told us the Holy Spirit will do for us believers

  1. Advocate/Intercede/Comfort/Help for us

  2. He has come to represent, act on behalf of Christ and testify about Jesus -John 15:26

  3. Teach us ALL things

  4. Remind us all Christ has taught us

  5. To guide us in all the truth – John 16:13

  6. To commune with effectively with our Father – John 16:13, 2 Corinth 13:14

  7. To disclose/reveal to us what is to come in the future.- John 16:13

  8. The Holy Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are children of God. [Romans 8:16]

[Rom 5:5, 2 Cor 3:17, 1 Cor 6:19-20, 1 Cor 3:16, Acts 4:27-31,1 Cor 2:8-16, 2 Cor 13:14, Luke 11:13, Gal 5:22-25]

Provision

We serve a all sufficient God. Our Jehovah-Jireh "The Lord will provide". The Lord's provision is so sure that Jesus had to re-assure us when teaching his disciples how to pray. "Give us this day our daily bread". This same God provided a lamb in place of Isaac for Abraham, the ravens brought bread and meat to Elijah during a great drought and many more stories we see in the Bible about God's provision.

I remember the words of King David, I was young, now I am old, I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. Isn't that wonderful and re-assuring?

No wonder he reminded us in Matthew's account not to worry about our life, what we will eat or drink; or about your body, what we will wear, if He is able to feed the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, why would He not provide for our needs? Are we not valuable than them? God is faithful, a good shepherd and He will ensure our needs are met and He is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you always having all sufficiency in all things, that you may abound to every good work.

[Psalm 37:25, Matt 6:25-36, 1 Kings 17, 2 Peter 1:3, Romans 8:32, 2 Cor 9:8, 2 Cor 8:9, Phil 4:19]

Above enumerates a few aspect of our lives, let me know in the comment section below other key areas you want me to touch on and will put it together.

I hope you are blessed with these few points. God bless you for reading this piece.
